Princess Lorelei's Pumpkin Party

Lorelei and Drew had a great time this weekend at Lorelei's pumpkin party. Lorelei turned one on Friday and this is how we celebrated...
Dad came into town -- the kids loved having his individual attention! It is so funny to me that they don't get to see him that often but they always take right to him :) I guess he's just got "the touch"
Princess Lorelei got some extra time with Granddad because she woke up from her nap early.
Lorelei relaxed with Unc Drew before all of her guests arrived. Unc Drew looks a little creepy in this picture :) But she looked so relaxed I had to include it.
Lorelei loved the pumpkin arts and crafts. Mostly she took the markers from the big kids, but it was her party...so I let her take markers if she wanted to. :)
Dad got her a "Rody". It is a bouncy toy. She loved it...until she slowly rolled off if it. Her terrible mother didn't even rescue her...she just video taped it ;o)
She was mesmerized by the candle...or maybe she was looking at the cupcake. I can't tell...
It was probably the cupcake!

Lorelei with Great-Granddaddy. Notice the icing in her hair and on her forehead :)

It was a long day for the princess but she was a trooper!

She didn't have to worry about opening presents...her subjects did that for her :)

Novemebr 13th, 2009

My baby girl turns one today! In about 20 minutes she was welcomed into this world. Right about this time (10:30 am) I was having hard contractions and kicked My mom and Miss Kittie out of the delivery room. I remember begging to push and Mrs. Becky, my nurse, told me that Dr. Hiller was literally running across the street and to WAIT!

Lorelei has had a great first year! She is a constant bundle of joy...unless she's mad, and then she is not a joy :) She definitely has a temper and can be hard-headed...but I think this is what makes her so much fun!

Watching her with Drew has been such a blessing. Drew loves her and she absolutely LOVES him. She follows him around the house (WALKING!!) and even plays with him in his room. He has started asking her to come play with him...which melts my heart every time. I am sure that there will come a time when they drive each other crazy, but I am enjoying the fact that they really like each other right now.

Happy Birthday, Baby Girl! We love you!!!

Rainy Day Fun!

Chad and I got to spend some great quality time with the kids during fall break. On one of the days Chad and Drew built a fort. Drew LOVED it!! They played doctor and read books in their fort. What sweet boys!

I love sunday pictures...the kids look so cute and proper. What sweet babies!

Happy Birthday Drew!

Drew had a great 3rd birthday. We celebrated on his actual birthday, September 23rd, at home. We had family over for some dinner and cupcakes. Drew decorated his own cupcake!
That Saturday we had his football birthday party. All his friends came dressed up as cheerleaders and football players. The cheerleaders couldn't keep their hands off of him!! :)

The whole team!!!

Where does the time go???

Seriously, where does the time go?!?!? I can't believe that my babies are this big! Drew is big enough and old enough to "hold" Lorelei and Lorelei finally has enough hair for a bow!! Slow down guys...the time is passing too fast!
