It was an amazing 4th of July weekend!! My sister, her husband and my neice, M, came into town to enjoy all of Statesboro's 4th festivities:) We had a great time!
The weekend started out with M and Drew trying out the new slide...it was a blast. Now Drew asks not only to wing (swing) but also wide (slide)
Next...we headed over to a friend's house to cook out before the big "Fire Cracker Fest 2008". The kids all had a great time playing together! When Lacy put out the pillows they all immediatley pretended like they were going " night, night". It was really cute.
Everone was tired the next day and jump on uncle Chad for a little rest and relaxation.

After supper we headed over to the rec department for the fire works. We parked at Greg's parents and walk about a mile to the park. This was the BEST plan EVER!!!! At the end of the evening we were home in 20 minutes rather than 2 1/2 hours like past years :) And...I have to say..."37 week Katie" was a champ!! She walked both ways and was in the lead most of the time!
At the park the kids played on the blanket and ran around like crazy!! It seems that they all got thier second wind. It was amazing! For babies that are used to going to sleep at eight they sure were wound up!
The fireworks finally started around nine :) Not one child got upset. At first they were a little unsure but the bright lights distracted from the noise :)
Everone was tired the next day and jump on uncle Chad for a little rest and relaxation.
